Simplicity 1692

I decided to start my Vintage year off with Simplicity 1692. My fabric is a fleece from Joann Fabric with 70% Rayon and 30% Cotton. It  is extremely soft. For the top I graded the front bodice up one size then completed a 1/2 FBA. Upon the fitting I realized the neckline would be too big so I kept the 14 for the neckline and upper bust then graded the rest . I took the remaining waist intake in with one of the darts. I really like this top and plan to make a couple of more. I got rid of the zipper as I didn't need it to get the garment on and off. I kept the back at a size 14 and needed no additional alterations for it.

When I was deciding which buttons to get I really wanted the floral ones, but I felt the pink ones would be better, and they were smaller.:(. I also used a floral button for the top back bodice. My fabric was thick and it was a bit of a hassle to get the button hole to sew right.

Love, Love, Love the neckline on this blouse.
